Bainbridge Island in Top 20 Safest Cities

The Bainbridge Review reported today that Bainbridge Island made the Top 20  Safest Cities in WA, based on research done by SafeWise, an online safety resource and consumer advocate.

 

This year’s report was released Oct. 5. SafeWise analysts reviewed the most recent 2016 FBI crime statistics and population data, and made its evaluation on Washington’s safest places to live based on the number of reported violent crimes (aggravated assault, murder, rape and robbery) in each city per 1,000 people.

18. Bainbridge Island
Population: 23,998
Violent crimes per 1,000: 1.08
Property crimes per 1,000: 13.33
Total crime: 8.13% violent, 91.87% property
